Saturday....is a special day!

I spent the whole day with Peyton, Jonah, and Addison.  (We did not leave Dad out, he had an Aflac meeting down in Corpus Christi.)  I started the day as usual...dishes, cleaning the kitchen, and laundry (you know...the chores that seem to NEVER end!)  It was such a pretty day out (it had been raining for 3 days this week) so I thought I would take the kids to the park.  I have been trying to get some new pictures of Addison now that she is one, but it has been so cold here. We picked up lunch at McDonald's and headed to Old Settler's park. We enjoyed a nice little picnic (even though it was still pretty chilly)...then we enjoyed the playground (well the boys did)!

I decided to take Addison out of the stroller and let her walk around so I could get some candid shots of her...3 pictures in and my camera displays a message that my memory card is full....WHAT?!? I guess it is possible, I have been using the same memory card since Addison was born....it held a whole year worth of pictures...not bad (and I take a lot of pictures)! At this point, Addison is trying to eat the wood chips that are scattered on the ground.  When I took those away, she tried to eat a leaf.

We had a few errands to run (we ran out of milk this morning and Addison is not happy if she doesn't get her milk!)  I told the boys if they behaved while we were at the grocery store, we would go to another park. (We saw a lady in a Who Dat shirt while walking into Wal-Mart, the lady with her was dressed in black & gold also....NICE!!!!) We went in, got milk and of course, a new memory card then headed home.

The boys had been pretty good in Wal-Mart so we headed to another playground at the park. I started snapping pics of Addison and she started eating the leaves!

Then I remembered we needed diapers...YIKES!!!! (not a good thing to forget!) So we headed to Target for diapers and Dollar Tree for some SuperBowl preparations!!!!! (GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!) I bought some black mugs, which I wrote WHO DAT is gold glitter!  The only thing left to do is the icing on the cake...literally...I need to put the icing on the king cake, then sprinkle the black and gold sugar....GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!  I was suppose to be cleaning house since the kids are in bed and I am waiting for Lawrence to get home from Corpus Christi...hmmmm, there's always tomorrow!

The best part of the day is when the boys told me this was a FUN DAY!  We get so caught up in the chores and our responsibilities that it is easy to forget what matters most. I want my kids to remember "how Mom & Dad use to take us to the park", not "remember how Mom use to clean the house and do laundry all day on Saturday".  So...today...Saturday, was a special day and I hope to have many more special days with my children!!!!!!
